Why didn't parents get notified when I edited an event?
Not every edit is treated as material enough to notify.
- 1
Only changes to an event's date, time, location, or its cancellation count as material and trigger a notification to affected parents.
- 2
A wording-only edit, such as fixing a typo in the description or title, is saved and shows in the event's history, but does not send a notification — parents aren't paged for every small correction.
- 3
If you need parents to know about a change that wasn't material by itself, publish an announcement alongside it rather than relying on the event edit to notify them.
- 4
Marking an event completed also doesn't notify anyone; it's a bookkeeping status, not news.
