I can't change a cancelled or completed event
Why these two statuses are final.

Once an event is marked cancelled or completed, it can no longer be edited, rescheduled, or have its date changed. Both are end states.

This protects the event's history from being rewritten after the fact — a cancelled trip stays recorded as cancelled, not quietly reopened and changed.

If a "cancelled" event is actually back on, create a new event rather than trying to revive the old one. The old one's history still shows exactly what happened and when.

Parents who had RSVP'd to an event can't change their RSVP once it's cancelled either, for the same reason.
